The purpose of this blog is to announce and help organize Civil War Sesquicentennial events, commemorations, and conferences in Western Massachusetts. Hopefully, through such efforts, the many local historical associations, educational collaboratives, history groups, and academic institutions will be able to more effectively and vibrantly commemorate the Civil War Sesquicentennial here in Western Massachusetts. We will link to the various groups and events, and post commentary on these events.
